How often do you examine exercise, physical activity, and fitness as tools of empowerment to enrich the quality of your life?

That’s my essential question as a coach.  My purpose is to help you learn the essentials of living a fit and healthy life, and take ownership of those essentials to focus on what’s really important: Living the best version of life possible.

HaroldGibbons.com is a home base for sharing my professional work and personal journey.

Thanks for joining me on this path. I hope we can learn together.

As the Director of Education at MFF, I’ve had the experience creating our Trainer-In-Residence Program, guiding our fitness team’s education for 2018, and writing personalized exercise programs and group training classes for over 800 of New York City’s most ridiculous humans.  This unique experience has lead to a nuanced understanding of how we blend progressive exercise strategies and contemporary coaching concepts to create the most empowering experience for clients of all ages and ability levels.

That sounds pretty deep, right?

When I’m not striving to change the lives of the Ninjas at MFF, you can find me working to progress the fitness industry as an educator, as well as coaching clients interested in meaningful, lasting results.

My exercise background began with powerlifting, then I made the hard shift into mountain biking and cycling.  When I’m not searching for more activities that allow us to enjoy the outdoors, I enjoy curling up on the couch with my wife and crying to This Is Us.

Train With Harold

As a coach, I examine exercise as a powerful tool to empower my clients to live a physically active lifestyle. Together, we explore exercise through the lens of positive psychology, discuss self-efficacy, and apply progressive sports psychology to movement-based exercise.

These strategies rapidly improve participation and performance to create habits of lifelong physical activity.  My goal as a coach is to pass my skills on to you and essentially coach myself out of a job.  This is to help you focus on what’s really important: Living your best life.

We’ll focus on driving long-term success by creating a habit-driven plan together.  Your personal experiences, health background, and personal preferences lead to action steps and a personal plan designed to optimize your success.

I’m currently re-working my coaching offerings in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, but I assure you that you’ll be very excited about my latest project!
