Breakfast of Champions

Wheaties are not the breakfast of champions.  Sure, they’ve got some world class athletes as endorsers.  Those guys are champions.  I’m not a world class athlete, or a champion.  But, I did have a world class breakfast today, with loads of nutritional value.  You wanna start your day off right, try this.

Alright, so this is what we have on the plate:  A slice of toast with peanut butter, 3 sausuage links, and 4 scrambled eggs with a scoop of salsa.  You don’t see the eggs?  Oh that’s because before I cooked them I blended them with a cup of spinach; they’re now green.   Extra green vegetables, for the win.

Now, what’s the weird looking substance in the shaker bottle?! That’s my super-shake!  It’s one I’ve been having for a while, so here’s whats in it:  A big handful of walnuts, a cup of spinach, a cup of frozen blueberries, a banana, a scoop of whey protein, and then 2.5 grams each of creatine monohydrate and branched chain amino acids.  (Note to self: Discuss supplementation soon).  Between that plate of deliciousness and the shake, I’m loaded up with a huge energizing meal.  Which is great, because I’m going to push a car later this afternoon.

Now, who still thinks that Wheaties are the breakfast of champions?  With the multiple servings of fruits and veggies, healthy fats, protein sources, and vitamin and mineral content of that all natural food, you can’t beat it.
