I’m coming to you from the University of Delaware! I’m down in Newark to support my brothers in Phi Mu Alpha, and because Delaware had a playoff football game this morning. The game was very interesting, as the score does not reflect what happened on the field. Delaware beat Lehigh 42-20 thanks to some first half turn-overs, but the game on the turf was more fairly matched. While UD QB Pat Devlin threw for 256-yards, Chris Lum of Lehigh threw for 362-yards. The old adage of ‘Defense wins Championships’ fits well here, because Lum was picked off twice, and there were several turnovers when Lehigh failed to make a first down. Well done Delaware, congratulations on your semi-finals bid.
Yes, your mind is blown. Yes, you are looking at a Mini Cooper that has 4 doors. Mini recently released the Countryman, and they’re finally making a 4 door, all wheel drive vehicle. The Countryman looks ridiculously awesome, and I’m sure it’s going to garner lots of attention. People will either hate it for being so tiny, or wonder if Mark Wahlberg and his crew could have moved more gold in The Italian Job. Regardless of it’s pretty awesome looks, it’s not big enough to hold a Prowler…cross it off the list.
In other news, people tend to have a love/hate relationship with Kanye West; we love to hate him and love to hate him. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is his latest album, and it dropped on November 22nd. My twin brother picked up a copy, and I’ve been listening to it for the past 12 days. Kanye is still a producer before he is a rapper, and while the production quality is fabulous, the rapping is not. I guess that depends on what you’re looking for. If you find lyrics about Lamborghinis and falling in love with porn stars deep, then you’ll think this is the greatest album ever. However, if you seek more content from rap, you’ll certainly be let down.** If nothing else, at least we can all laugh at Kanye’s arrogance and bravado.
During her weekly shopping excursion this week, my mom picked up a pumpkin bisque soup from Stop and Shop. It was made by the Stop and Shop in-house brand, and was absolutely delicious and pretty healthy. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any nutrition information about it on their website, so other than telling you to buy it if you’re shopping in Stop and Shop…I don’t really have anything to tell you about it.
Lastly, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes. I came across THIS article last week which showed pictures of Harry Potter related tattoos. This may be the very pinnacle of geekdom, unless you have R2-D2 on your ankle. I’ll accept that though, because Albus is on my list of possible dog names. Sometimes I dislike crediting Dumbledore as a genius because J.K.Rowling has only written the Harry Potter series, but I find this simple line to be incredibly inspiring.
