Starting Over

So.

I haven’t posted anything in almost two months.  Considering I never really launched this blog, and no one knows about it; I figured I’d give a little update on what I’m doing and then let people start checking it out.  Hopefully the readers are friends and family, and people who I work with or give any health fitness advice to.

On the 16th of February I sat for the National Strength and Conditioning Association‘s Certified Personal Trainer Exam.  I’m proud to say that I’ve accomplished one of my many goals in becoming certified.  There is so much more to learn, and I’m excited and encouraged by the fact that I will never know everything, there will always be more to learn.  Because I’ve become somewhat of an over-achiever as of late, I’m doing the same for my personal training  certification.  The NSCA requires continueing education, and I need to earn 2.0 CEU’s by the end of 2011, to maintain my certification.  If I earn 10.0, I can become recertified with distinction.  Guess what I’m going to try to do.

Also education related; I just sent out transfer applications to Rowan University, West Chester University, and Adelphi University, to Health and Physical Education programs.  I’m carrying a 3.8 GPA at Nassau right now, so hopefully I’ll get in as well as get some good money.  We’ll see what happens with that; now its just a waiting game.

I’m studying physical education, and what to be a health and P.E. teacher, but I know that there will be much more for me to learn.  Outside of the copious reading and work I have for Anatomy/Physiology 1 and Pre-Calc, I have a pseudo-reading list thats a lot of books that are boring and over my head.  AKA, they will make me a super genius.  Let me know of any recommendations that you have, unless its L.L. Cool J’s Plantinum Workout or anything related to Jillian Michaels.  She’s hot, but stupid.

At least she has something going for her.  Now if only she wasn’t on the biggest loser.

Anyways.  I’m off to watch the last Friday of the Olympics.  Between that, some homework, and maybe a Bourne movie, I’ll be having a pretty awesome night
