I was inspired to make a big breakfast this morning. I keep seeing pancake recipes on different websites, and I hate following recipes, so I decided to make my own. I guess you can call them “High-Protein Banana Nut Pancakes” but, “Nutritional Bundles of Joy” sounds a lot cooler.
Ingredient List:
- 1 Cup of Bisquick
- 1 Cup of Low-Fat Almond Milk
- 1/2 Cup of Ground Walnuts
- 3 Whole Eggs
- 4tbs. of Peanut Butter
- 1 scoop, GNC 100% Whey Protein (20 grams)
1 Banana
These were mighty tasty pancakes, but I only ate half of them for breakfast; it was way more than I expected. I’ll most likely eat the other half within the next day, because they were super scrumptious. I’d recommend giving them a try.
Sidenote: There is applesauce in that bowl, which I used as dipping sauce because we ran out of syrup. I added cinnamon and nutmeg to it, along with a wee bit of honey. It worked out surprisingly well, and the apple sauce complemented the banana pancakes rather nicely. Give it a try!
